Welcome to Swift Resources
Sept 27, 2011
Swift Resources has begun a diamond drill program on its Castlegar project in Southern British Columbia, in follow-up to the company's summer exploration program. Approximately 2,500 metres of diamond drilling are planned on the Amazing Grace and Klovance properties. To date, eight holes totalling approximately 1,500 metres have been completed. August 2011
Swift Resources (the company) has recently completed our program of rock and soil geochemistry and trenching. The company has also received the final geophysical results from the Klovance Property. The exploration program is now in compilation mode, preparatory to the initiation of diamond drilling which is expected to begin in early September. Preliminary trench sample assays from the Klovance Property were impressive for lead and zinc along with some high silver assays. The Amazing Grace property produced some very good preliminary assays for gold from trench sampling.
The Castlegar project consists of 3 contiguous properties, the Amazing Grace, Skarn and Klovance properties. Impressive argillite-hosted lead-zinc-silver mineralization is exposed in historically stripped areas on the Klovance property and is untested by any modern exploration methods. Limited rock sampling by Swift has returned values including 34% Pb, 3.9% Zn, and 442 g/t Ag and 7.2 % Pb, 7.4% Zn and 733 g/t Ag. Swift completed a soil sampling program late in 2010, which outlined strong geochemical anomalies on-strike from known showings. The company plans an aggressive program of ground geophysics, mapping, excavator trenching and diamond drilling on the property in 2011.
Excavator trenching and diamond drilling will also test high grade gold (+/- polymetallic) veins and zones of quartz-pyrite-sericite alteration and stockwork veining on the Amazing Grace property. High priority targets include the Maude S, BW, and Meister showings, where previously reported results include 1000.6 g/t Au and 410.5 g/t Au (BW showing) 37.3 g/t Au (Meister showing) and 85.6 g/t Au (Maude S stockwork alteration zone). None of these occurrences has been tested by modern trenching or drilling.
On the Skarn property, ground geophysics and excavator trenching will follow-up the company's 2010 soil and rock sampling program. Values to 9 g/t Au were returned from gold skarn-style mineralization in a historic trench on the property. Excavator trenching will test this area, along with zones of anomalous geochemistry and geophysics. Follow-up drilling will be done, if warranted.
